The Scriptures do tell us of the many things that God hates.
Proverbs 6:16-19 “These six things the Lord hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: A proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood, A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil, A false witness who speaks lies, And one who sows discord among brethren.
Psalm 5:5 “The boastful shall not stand in Your sight; You hate all workers of iniquity.”
What are the works of the flesh vs the fruit of the Spirit?
“Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.”
Galatians 5:22-26 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.”
Romans 12:2 “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
Titus 3:9-11 “But avoid foolish disputes, genealogies, contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and useless. Reject a divisive man after the first and second admonition, knowing that such a person is warped and sinning, being self-condemned.”
Why did I vote for the rational choice?
Dividing lines have been drawn. The pharisees are defending their position for supporting a divisive man. Clearly films about Jesus Christ, the end times and other spiritual experiences have been mere entertainment. So much for reaching the lost. The land of the false prophet is thriving. It’s a multi-billion-dollar industry.
Who are the religious leaders in our land? Who are the Christians? Who are the children of God?
Sometimes, the enemy is better at displaying the fruits of the spirit so it’s not easy to recognize the children of God by their fruit.
