Political rhetoric is tiring.

Biblical rhetoric is tiring.

Christian speak is tiring.

Religious-political rhetoric is destroying all good things, family and the image of Christ which believers should be.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I have had it with all this back and forth. Christians claiming obedience to God when their every behavior, arrogance, pride, attitudes and vomit that spews from the mouth is anything but godly. I have seen two groups of Christians. One group is following the Jesus narrative. The other following the OT Law. Both believe in the same God and Jesus Christ. The dividing line is a political line. Conservative vs liberal. Evangelicals vs non evangelicals. Denominational vs. non denominational. Geez. It is so ridiculous.

Even as I state this, people think I am judging. Two wrongs don’t make a right. We all know that. They never do. Darkness and light do not have anything in common. Good and evil will never be one. The Scriptures are clear on many subjects. Yet, men interpret the Scriptures according to their training and their biases. We have humans that believe in God and humans that don’t. We have Americans that believe in many gods. America is a diverse nation and so is Christianity. For longer than we want to remember Christianity was divided by color. White Christianity created a white Jesus. So it was fitting for people of color to create a black Jesus. Our nation was divided by color. The founders of this nation came here because they wanted religious freedom, they did not want to be under British rule. Here we can find the beginnings of a divided America.

Division is an American tradition. Division is also something that God will do in His time. Everything that man believes about how, or when this (The wheat and the tares) will happen is speculation. And the thing about speculation, there is always a 50/50 chance that anyone will get it right. When God speaks to something – it happens. There is no need to modify, clarify, or retract. When it comes to the things of God, both sides cannot be right. God will either know you by name, or He will say “depart from Me you workers of iniquity. I never knew you.” And let’s be very clear. He is talking about people claiming to be doing things in His name. Today, and this past decade Christians have divided over current events, politics and political leaders. I had never seen Christians exhibit so much hate as I have the last ten years (I am talking about people I know) – and the fact that they did it and continue to do it, in the name of Christ is heartbreaking. A friend says that both groups are convinced they are in the right. I am not convinced. When we are transformed into the image of Christ, we no longer walk according to the flesh. Period.

Right now, I see God looking down on America and He laughs. He laughs at the futility of man trying to do what they believe needs to be done. That was Israel’s constant failure – doing what they thought was right in their own eyes. No human will ever rid the world of evil. Leaders can get rid of all the groups of people they believe to be doing harm to Americans but as long as man has an evil heart – he will do evil. There are many signs that point to a tribulation time – now.

What’s next? Be blessed.
