LIVING IN THE LAST HOUR

My previous INITIALS were iam. This is a picture of the tower of the americas in my BEAUTIFUL city of San Antonio.

What road are you on?

The believers journey is not taken on any single type of road, or path. From the moment we first believe the Lord puts us on a path. The path is not always clear but there the journey begins. And the Lord prepares the way. The Lord sets to transform our heart and mind, our life, our relationships, our desires and all that we are to become, in the image of Him, for His glory. We face various trials and tribulations, the fiery furnace, the lion’s den and the mouth of a big fish. We face bondage, doubt, regret, painful memories and so on. We may fall into potholes, sink holes and even the abyss. Every one’s journey looks a little different but the end goal is the same. My journey was long and humbling. Sometimes it was lonely. The Lord used my children to teach me great lessons. The most powerful lesson was watching my oldest child rebel against my authority. The Lord said look. That’s what you look like when you rebel against me. Our rebellion may or may not be as open as that of our teens, but it is nonetheless, rebellion against the Lord. And yet He extends mercy.

The path is open. When we seek the Lord. He finds us. One can expect obstacles and challenges, trial and tribulations along the way. With every trial and tribulation the Lord is working out and working on those fleshy desires that keep us in bondage to the things of this world. The greatest life changing lesson: Learning to be content in all things. That is something that is hard to be when there is so much lack. Still, God never left me alone.

Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5

There’s more. Come back later.
