Warning! the end is near…

But it's not here yet. You can still seek God while He may be found! If you are a believer and you, your friends and your loved ones are still here, the Rapture has not occurred. Unless you've seen, or see Jesus coming in the clouds He has not yet come. And while Trump served according to God's will, he was not any kind of savior for the people of God. Now, there are two characters that are expected to make an entrance into Christian history. We know them by their stage name. Who will play these pivotal roles is up for speculation. And as of today, no matter how much "religious" fanatics believe it to be so, there is no religious persecution in the United States of American. I don't know about any other Christian, but I have not been asked to deny Christ. Why? Because God continues to bless this nation. Why? Because, "...He has mercy on whom He wills, and whom He wills He hardens."

“Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.” Acts 1:9-11

Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen. “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” Revelation 1:7-8

“For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.”

“Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are unruly, comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all. See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all.”

1 Thessalonians 5:2; 1 Thessalonians 5:14-15

Despite the many centuries of inequities in this country God blessed this nation and this nation progressed and prospered. But, He also saved the people that endured those inequities. And He will continue too. He has blessed his people. Remember. Scripture (Galatians 3:28) says there is neither Greek, nor Jew. Does that mean that this nation, or His people will not experience persecution? Far from it. Matthew 24 lays out a vivid depiction of what we can expect, as does that great book of Revelation. And many theologians and layman have presented their interpretation of The Book of Revelation. Is anyone’s version true? Perhaps. but I know… Scripture tells me that no one knows what is in the mind of God.

Persecution has been part of the Christian experience, by God’s mercy and grace, not in America. The events of the last few months would lead me to believe that the American Christian is surely trying to circumvent that possibility. Will the actions of man prevent, or delay anything that God has ordained for man, for this fallen world? I don’t think so. Will God save His children? Yes. Does that mean that His children will not have to experience persecution? No.

“For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.”

Matthew 24:24

Social media, and televangelism has made it ever so easy to influence the hearts and minds of people seeking a spiritual experience. The American Christian has been greatly influenced, if not bullied into accepting a lie. How? By using fear, intimidation, manipulation, the promise of a better America. They are none the wiser. And guess what? Many Christians had ears primed for a man such as Trump. Prosperity teachers, false teachers, false prophets, wolves in sheep clothing, have done an outstanding job at training their followers to not settle for anything less than their hearts desire. It took decades, if not centuries of priming. Socialization is a how all of us learn our roles, our place in society, our morals, our values, etc. When we meet the true God, His Spirit re-socializes us, renews our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. This world is not our home. Our citizenship is in heaven. In this last hour, the things of this world are fading fast. As long as we hold on to those worldly things we will find it hard to hold on to Jesus. No one in the land of Trump is seeking God. No one is hearing from God. Everyone is being led by their own fleshly desires – the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life.

There’s a few pastors, and religious politicians, especially here in Texas that continue to promote this deception that one group of people are trying to destroy the morality of this nation. They want us to believe that Christians are under attack, that Christians are on the brink of persecution, on the brink of losing their religious freedoms. They fear socialism. They fear the next leader of this country, no less a leader appointed and anointed by God. Funny, these pastors don’t fear COVID19. They would rather obey God than man. And they don’t care if they disobey their anointed leaders which are in place to protect them. There is only one thing that can destroy the morality of this nation. Want to guess what that is? The heart. The heart that will not seek God. And Scripture tells us that no one seeks God.

“There is none righteous, no, not one; There is none who understands; There is none who seeks after God. They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one.” “Their throat is an open tomb; With their tongues they have practiced deceit”;
“The poison of asps is under their lips”; “Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.” “Their feet are swift to shed blood; Destruction and misery are in their ways; And the way of peace they have not known.”

Romans 3:10-17

From what I’ve seen around the Internet, there are these “prophetic voices” whose credibility I have to question, that claim God told them that Trump would serve an eight year term. Did God really say Trump was going to serve eight years? I am not a prophetic pastor, but in 2011, even I knew that Trump was going to be elected. I recognized the signs of a people looking for a worldly resolve to all their fears. Who was going to stop the senseless killing of innocent lives? Who was going to stop the democrats who wanted to take their 2nd Amendment rights? Who was going to stand up for and defend their American freedoms? The people of God wanted a king. Well, they got their king. How many false prophesies will it take for Christians seek the one true God?

God has been doing quite a bit of shaking these last four years, but I do believe that 2020 was the most awakening. He has been exposing the extremes in deception in American churches – a deception that has gone out like a wildfire around the world. But I was reminded of The Parable of the Wheat and the Tares.

“But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayers. Therefore you will receive greater condemnation.”

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte, and when he is won, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves.

Matthew 23:13-15

The Parable of the Wheat and the Tares tells us the enemy has come in and sowed this bad seed among the wheat. The Lord will deal with that enemy and He will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.” ’ ”

Matthew 13:24-30

The true Gospel of Jesus is a sweet message. It’s a life saving message. But listening to the message takes more than just the ears. Remember the Parable of the Sower? It’s a matter of the heart. Once the message is heard you have to swallow. The message is then digested. Some people may not care for how it feels going down. They may not like the after taste, or the way it settles in the stomach, so they tell themselves, “this is not for me.” So they find a gospel that tastes good, and doesn’t cause any discomfort in the belly. When we choose to follow Jesus we are not promised a pleasant journey, only that He will always be with us. That He will never leave us, nor forsake us.

And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey. And I took the little book out of the angel’s hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.

Revelation 10:9-10

“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

Matthew 7:13-14

If we believe that God has blessed this nation, then we need to stand on His promises. That He will keep us according to His will, not ours. We may want many things, but God will give us what we need. Remember the quail. Test the spirits – for many are not of God. We are to be a people of peace. We are to be still and know that He is Lord.

Trust not in your firearms, not in your pastor, not in any self-proclaimed prophet, not in your elected officials, not in any man, but trust in God and He will lead you through the path of righteousness. Psalm 23

He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
